Terms of Use for the Online Game IcyBridge

General Provisions

  1. The author and operator of the game IcyBridge and its related features and services (hereinafter referred to as the "Game") is Jan Kovařík, icybridge [at] knedl [dot] cz (hereinafter referred to as the "Operator").
  2. The game IcyBridge and its related services are available at https://www.icybridge.com. Users are allowed to play the game under the condition that they comply with the rules set forth in these terms. The game is intended exclusively for individual entertainment purposes; commercial use is not permitted.
  3. The Operator is the exclusive holder of copyright to the Game. The Operator's rights are protected by provisions of the Civil Code and the Copyright Act. By using (playing) the Game and related services, users do not acquire any claims to the Game, related services, or any parts thereof.
  4. The Operator provides users with the opportunity to play the Game, as well as to use related services, such as creating a personal profile page, purchasing virtual services or items related to the Game, and other features described within the Game and on the related pages at https://www.icybridge.com.
  5. The Game is only available to users over 18 years of age, who confirm their age upon registration.
  6. The right to participate in the Game (the right to play the Game) arises upon the user's complete registration, i.e., by filling in the required information in the registration form. Once the form is submitted, the Operator provides the user with a gaming account, which grants them the right to play the Game and use the related services.
  7. The user is required to notify the Operator of any changes to the data provided in the registration form, particularly changes to their email address.
  8. The user agrees to the processing of their personal data by the Operator and grants explicit consent for such processing, the text of which is available here. The user can also review the Privacy Policy of IcyBridge.
  9. After registration, the user can choose a gaming nickname. The Operator reserves the right to change or remove a username if it violates applicable laws, moral standards, or infringes upon the property or personal rights of the Operator or third parties.
  10. The user's gaming account is protected by a password. The user is responsible for safeguarding their login credentials (username and password) and is liable for any misuse, even if caused by negligence. The user must inform the Operator immediately if they suspect that their login credentials have been compromised or that an unauthorized third party has gained access to the Game.
  11. The Operator reserves the right to change the password to a gaming account or suspend access to an account if there is suspicion that a third party is using it unlawfully.
  12. Playing the Game is free of charge. However, the Operator reserves the right to change the pricing structure of the Game. The Operator also reserves the right to display advertisements within the Game.
  13. There is no legal entitlement to open a gaming account or access the Game. The Operator does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or functionality of the Game and related services.
  14. The Operator reserves the right to discontinue the Game or delete a user's account at any time while the Game is provided free of charge, even without giving a reason.
  15. The Operator has implemented high standards of antivirus protection for its systems. However, virus attacks cannot be entirely ruled out. Furthermore, the misuse of email messages that may contain viruses, spyware, or links to malicious websites cannot be excluded. The Operator has no control over such events and is not responsible for damages caused by them.

Rules of Game Usage

  1. If a user does not participate in the Game for at least 60 days, the Operator is entitled to delete the gaming account and deny further access to the Game.
  2. The Operator guarantees the functionality of the Game only in the latest versions of the following web browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, and Mozilla Firefox. The user must regularly update their web browser to ensure a secure and smooth gaming experience. To access the Game, users must have "Cookies" enabled and JavaScript activated in their web browser.
  3. The user acknowledges that the Game is based on cooperation and interaction with other players. Users must not act against the Game's rules, legal regulations, public decency, or in a way that disproportionately affects the rights and legitimate interests of third parties.
  4. Users must not engage in behavior that disrupts or completely interrupts the Game and interactions between users.
  5. The use of programs that cause excessive server load is prohibited. Additionally, programs that systematically monitor the Game or its features, such as bots, macros, or software that copies or evaluates the Game, its components, or content, are forbidden. Exploiting programming bugs for personal advantage is also prohibited.
  6. If a user violates the rules outlined in points 4–6, the Operator has the right to delete the user's gaming account and deny further participation in the Game.
  7. All information, events, and characters in the Game are fictional. Each user is responsible for their communication and interactions with other players.
  8. The Operator appreciates if users report any discovered bugs via support or email, as this helps improve the Game.

Final Provisions

  1. These terms are governed by Czech law.
  2. The Operator reserves the right to modify these Terms or change the scope of provided services. Changes to the Terms become valid upon publication on https://IcyBridge.com. Users will also be notified of changes upon logging into the Game.

Consent to Personal Data Processing

I consent to Jan Kovařík, icybridge [at] knedl [dot] cz (hereinafter referred to as the "Controller") processing my personal data provided for the purpose of registering and playing the online game IcyBridge. I confirm that I am aware of my rights regarding personal data processing, particularly:

  • The right to access, correct, or delete personal data
  • The right to object to data processing
  • The right to data portability in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time
  • The right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority
